You upload a drawing (PDF, DWG, DXF, IFC, PNG or JPG) to Massoi. The AI detects the scale automatically, reads the building components — walls, windows, doors, tiling, HVAC — and calculates quantities in the correct units (m², lm, pcs, m³). It usually takes under 30 seconds per drawing page.

Supported formats: PDF (architectural and structural drawings), DWG and DXF (AutoCAD without conversion), IFC (BIM models with full 3D support), and PNG and JPG (scanned drawings and photographs). Scanned drawings are processed with OCR, so even older archived paper plans work.

Average component-recognition accuracy is around 95%. Accuracy depends on drawing quality and complexity — clean CAD files produce tighter results than low-resolution scans. Every calculated quantity is traceable back to the original drawing, so you can always review and adjust before sending a bid.

No. The AI is trained on thousands of Finnish and international construction drawings and recognizes standard symbols and markings out of the box.
